ment by T. Berry Brazelton, Delta Books, 1969, $4.95, can have a significant effect on the way one relates to one's pregnancy and to one's child. Infants is an absorbing, detailed book which destroys the myth of the "normal child" by describing the normal developmental paths of three very different infants. The behavior and development of an active, quiet and average baby are followed from before birth to one year. This book can free parents and their children from the unnecessary anxiety and concern that their child is not normal and help them to enjoy the individuality and uniqueness of their infant. This is a liberating book.

75%, and A Child is Born The Drama of Life Before Birth, C. Wirsen and Axel IngelmanSundberg, Dell, 1974, $4.95, are informational books, satisfying some of the incessant curiosity aroused by pregnancy. The Guttmacher book is an excellent encyclopedia of pregnancy. Some material is covered more adequately in the other books reviewed, but no other book contains the breadth of material contained here. A Child is Born presents the development of the fetus in extraordinary and dramatic photographs. It s an extremely exciting book, sometimes frightening. The sections on conception and the early stages of gestation are detailed and highly informative yet very readable. It is an excellent book expensive, but highly recommended.

BERKELEY WOMEN'S MUSIC COLLECTIVE
After a year of writing and playing our music in Califor nia we are excited about going on tour this spring to share our music and to learn about what's happening in other communities. We are the BERKELEY WOM EN'S MUSIC COLLECTIVE; four women who came together from different musical spaces and similar political places to play, change, and perform together Our music and our politics are the sameexpressions of our lives and our deep commitment to the women's movement and the struggle of all oppressed people. We have evolved our sound from styles of blue grass, rock country, blues, jazz, folk and classical music. We play acoustic and electric piano, electric bass, harmonica, saxaphone, and various percussion instruments. We also perform as individuals which gives us more variety and allows us to play in diverse situations. Concerts rather than dances are our best setting; we often play in coffee houses, women's bars, and large halls. We prefer to play for women only. We are looking forward to traveling and exchanging energies, and hope we will be able to see you and play for you on our tour.
